My name is Marie, and I’m originally from Prague, Czech Republic.
I’m passionate about creativity, community, and meaningful connections.
I enjoy supporting others, listening to audiobooks, journaling, and crafting in my Traveller`s Notebook.
I love a good cup of coffee, and I am currently getting into running – painful but exciting!
About education:
I have Bc. degree from Aesthetics (General Theory of Art and Culture), and I also studied Personnel Management and Adult Education, both at Charles University in Prague.
I am currently studying a postgraduate programme in Art therapy.
About Rvk Collage Club:
My main goals with The Collage club are:
1)Help people experience the state of creative flow.
2)To promote mental well-being through creative expression and the flow state.
3)To offer an easygoing, low-barrier way for people to explore their artistic side.
Since I founded Reykjavík Collage Club in 2023 I enjoyed organizing workshops in:

Hamraborg festival
Nakano Stationery Store
The Reykjavík City Library Gófin
for W.O.M.E.N. in Iceland
Gerðuberg Library
and a few independently in cafés.
And other:
Besides the Rvk Collage Club, I like to organize swapping events with Swap Iceland (an online swapping community I founded in 2021).
The aspect of respecting nature, valuing the resources, and reusing things is reflected in my work with collages as well. I love reusing old magazines and working with materials that would otherwise be thrown away.
